Did you know?
Hard disk drive (HDD) data recovery requests occur more often that
you may realise. Failures and loss of data can occur for a multitude
of reasons including:
Hard disk failure; Component failure (read/write heads, servo
mechanism, firmware corruption, assemblies, platters, drive motors
etc); Formatting or overwriting of drives; Corrupt or missing
critical file system structures; Accidental or intentional file
deletion or 'hiding'; Virus or worm contamination; Application or
operating system crash or bootup problems; Partitioning problems;
Damage due to power failure or power surge, lightning strikes,
floods, smoke, fire and even coffee; Failure due to wear/tear and
age of drive where the hard disk drive is out of warranty.
Like all things technical, all drives have a "natural life span" or
a "Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF)" which means that they will
fail eventually.
When, or if that happens to you, we DO NOT recommend that you
attempt to restore the data yourself: this can lead to further
corruption of data and files and may lead to longer recovery times.
If you hear clicking or scraping sounds coming from your hard drive,
call in experts. If you attempt to recover the data yourself,
further damage to the platters can occur and can be to the detriment
of recovery attempts by specialists.
With over 30 years experience, we are true data recovery
experts, with proven in-depth knowledge and results
It does not matter what operating or
file system you use, whether it is Windows®, MAC®
or one of the many versions of Unix/Linux, a single disk or a RAID
array, utilising time honoured techniques, coupled with our own
proprietary solutions we can retrieve data which was once thought
lost. Whether it is a computer hard drive, a camera or even a mobile
phone, our success rate, where others have failed, keep us at the
forefront of the industry.
